Response to Quran Burning Project

In response to the “disrespectful and disgraceful” plan (as described by the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) of a small local church of about 50 members in Gainesville, Florida that is planning to burn our holy book, the Book of Allah, we - at Masjid Al-Ihsaan in Miami, Florida - invite our South Florida community and anywhere in the world to join us in supporting and helping the following initiative named “Action 114 for 1.”

We plan to replace every Quran Book that they might have burned by 114 Quran Books (One Quran book for every Chapter of the Quran). These books will be distributed to the community, the media, and other decision makers according to well established methods.

Please join us in raising as many sets of 114 Quran Books to spread the message of the ONE Almighty Allah. Please note that since the burning did not take place, we still are going with our plan and we have established a goal to distribute 1,140 Quran books.

We also call on people of conscience from different faiths to join us in this action either financially, or by denouncing the action of this tiny church, or by any other legal and civil form they see appropriate. We also call on the Media to promote the initiative “Action: 114 for 1”

In Summary, we ask the following:

  1. Please share this announcement with you contacts
  2. If you want to donate, any amount regardless of how small,  please contact Masjid Al-Ihsaan at 305-259-0042 or 305-305-1960 or 305 -322-9333 or visit www.masjidalihsaan.com

Today's Ayah

When a woman of Imran said: My Lord! surely I vow to Thee what is in my womb, to be devoted (to Thy service); accept therefore from me, surely Thou art the Hearing, the Knowing.

Surah 3:35

Today's Hadith

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever makes a vow and does not state it specifically, the expiation (for such a vow) is the expiation for breaking an oath. Whoever makes a vow and is not able to fulfill it, the expiation for that is the expiation for breaking an oath. Whoever makes a vow and is able to fulfill it, let him do so.”

Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 3, Book 11, Hadith 2209
