Ramadan is a month of giving and sharing. Giving gifts is highly recommended.

Narrated Abu Huraira that the Prophet, Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said, “I shall accept the invitation even if I were invited to a meal of a sheep’s trotter, and I shall accept the gift even if it were an arm or a trotter of a sheep.”

Narrated ‘Aisha that Allah’s Apostles, Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, used to accept gifts and used to give something in return.

Narrated Abu Umamah: The Prophet, Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: If anyone intercedes for his brother and his brother presents a gift to him for it, and he accepts it, he approaches a great door of the doors of usury.
